Time really did take its time
Time could have easily flew by,
But yet, with thoughtful pauses and heartfelt intention,
Time really did take its time,
Etching small, precious memories for
each and everyone of us here at Well Played.
Thank you for enveloping us with your warmth and gracing us with your firsts.
What a January.
It Begins with a Spoon | 从一匙开始,木作体验工作坊
Well Played welcomed our very first Spoon Wood-crafting Workshop last weekend. The response, unexpectedly, was warm and wholehearted. A wooden spoon became an unspoken thread, gently drawing together people from different areas of Singapore, gathering them in this small, shared space.
This workshop also marked Well Played’s first invitation to @silveryang_woodcraft , who joined us to share her everyday practice with wood. Beginning with a single spoon, participants learned to understand material through their hands, and with a slower rhythm, rediscovered the quiet focus and steadiness of doing one small thing, well.
Thank you for 2025, see you in 2026
Thank you for bringing much warmth and laughter to our studio in 2025. May your days be bright and your heart be light. See you in 2026!
Going slower brings us further. 慢一点,比较快。
Because in Well Played,
going slower brings us further,
losing a little helps us grow more,
and as long as we remain curious and willing to play,
our lives, no matter how brief, will not feel stagnant.
因为在艺起玩,
慢一点,比较快。
失去一点,也能长出更多。
当我们还愿意继续好奇,
继续认真“玩”,在这一趟短短的人生旅途不会一直都停滞不前。
The 24 Solar Terms at Well Played
The 24 Solar Terms, rooted in ancient Chinese wisdom, mark subtle shifts in climate, daylight, and nature that can be observed even in tropical Singapore.
“The Language of Drawing” & Well Played — Educators Workshop
“Other people’s children are also our children.” The first time I read this in T.C.SIANG's "The Language of Drawing", I thought it sounded too “grand”. How could I possibly embrace other people’s children when I can barely keep up with my own?
The Language of Drawing & Well Played - Parent-Child Play.shop
As parents, educators, caregivers, the difficulty might not come as “how do I teach”, but rather, learning to observe, listen and stepping back. After all, we are used to seeking answers, and affirmations. But once the answer is gained, does learning stop?
Book Sharing of “The Language of Drawing” 《孩子有画说》新书分享会
The very first sharing of T.C.SIANG's debut book "The Language of Drawing" began quietly at Well Played - his first stop of a global journey.
This was something we never thought possible. And yet, it is often these small, unlikely things that are worth attempting.

来!Let’s Masak-Masak Together 09-13.09.2025
This September holiday, we brought masak-masak (pretend play) to the painter’s palette and pot-holder canvas. Using everyday ingredients, purples, blues, yellows and more were “cooked” up in our “play” studio.
STOP.LOOK.SKETCH. 24.08.2025
