The Language of Drawing & Well Played - Parent-Child Play.shop

Second Gathering · “The Language of Drawing” & Well Played Parent-Child Play.shop | Saturday, Sept 27

On Saturday 27.09, we welcomed 6 groups of parent-child pairs at our very first drawing Play.shop, our 2nd event collaboration with unconventional art educator & author of “The Language of Drawing” T.C.SIANG (aka Teoh).

Some found “solutions”, yet others opened their eyes to new “problems”. As parents, educators, caregivers, the difficulty might not come as “how do I teach”, but rather, learning to observe, listen and stepping back. After all, we are used to seeking answers, and affirmations. But once the answer is gained, does learning stop?

Perhaps this Play.shop did not offer all the “right” answers.

We’d like to think of it as an open invitation to ponder. We all know that learning is a process, yet parenting itself is also a process, of observing, of understanding, of reflection.

As every stroke leaves a different mark, perhaps the answer doesn’t lie in the drawing, but in the moments that we spend with our children.

成长,是流动的;
