  • A: Our Explorer & Enthusiast Programs are a weekly 1.5 hour visual & tactile art journey.

    Explorer: Ages 5 - 9
    Enthusiasts: Ages 10 - 18

The program incorporates elements of creative expression through drawing, painting, sculpting and mixed media. The program comprises of termly themes or topics, which are curated with creative processes in mind.

At the start of term, you will receive a Mini Curriculum Magazine Overview《艺起玩》小杂志|课程总览 - as a way to keep pace with your child’s "play-full" journey with us.

Each explorer and enthusiast is encouraged to “get their hands dirty” in first understanding the theme and objectives. This may take the form of open-ended discussion, role-play or even play-based activities to stimulate their curiosity and pave the way for experiential learning.

Over the subsequent lessons, they will dive deeper into various processes or art techniques to refine their understanding and appreciation of the theme or topic they are exposed to in the production of a final art form, before closing with a reflection note.

Through the process, frustration and imperfect pieces can be expected, as much as wide-eye amazement, wild laughter and a grateful sense of completion.

Classes are delivered in either English / Chinese (Mandarin) by our Play Guide, which you may select based on the available schedule. Please select the class timing that suits your schedule best as we do not encourage regular switching between classes.

Our class size is kept cozy to keep interaction levels high!

  • A: At Well Played, we focus on creating experiences through art and allowing our explorers to really savour and trust the process of doing. This is not to say that we encourage procrastination and incomplete artworks, but rather, allowing each explorer sufficient time and mindfulness to fully explore and understand the "how's" and "why's" to create a deep connection with their activity on hand.

As such, you should expect that your child may not complete an artwork in every session. Through his/her hands-on experiences, your child will be able to build on his/her learnings, thoughts and feelings.

Each class term runs for 8 weeks to accommodate our monthly themes and activities. At the end of term, you will receive a Well Played Photo Journal 《艺起玩》课堂记录 - handout that allows an introspective view of the art activities that have been carried out during the term.

Pro tip: We highly encourage using the handout to engage your child in sharing his/her thoughts and feelings about he/she has learnt and completed. You may be pleasantly surprised!
