Time really did take its time
The first month of 2026 brought a series of firsts to Well Played, for us, and for those that stepped through our doors.
We began the month with our new Term, welcoming curious hearts and minds, enveloping them in Light‘s daily rhythm (our theme for Term 3).
It also marked our first foray out of the studio and into a wider part of our neighbourhood, stepping into the void decks of Clementi Ave 2, where in turn we were welcomed by the fresh faces of the local residents.
Within the studio, our hearts continued to grow with each gathering. We hosted our very first play.party - a birthday celebration for our lucky 11 year old play.mate and her friends, filling our space with much laughter and colour. The following week, a group of ladies and their families, brought a sense of comforting warmth as they gathered for a cozy afternoon together, dipping into watercolour for the first time.
Yet another week, we were graced by a spirited 80 year old, young beyond her years, as she shared her desire to step back to her days of youth where she allowed herself to explore with colour and paint once more.
Seemingly offering a quiet pause to the month, the final weekend offered an invitation to stillness, with slow strokes and gentle carving of wood, as we gently shaped our own spoons. A first for the 21 participants who very simply, took the time.
Time could have easily flew by,
But yet, with thoughtful pauses and heartfelt intention,
Time really did take its time,
Etching small, precious memories for
each and everyone of us here at Well Played.
Thank you for enveloping us with your warmth and gracing us with your firsts.
What a January.
