Terms and Conditions
Welcome to The Curious Co. Pte. Ltd. which operates the studios operating under the brand names Well Played and YeeQiWan 艺起玩 (“Curious”, “WellPlayed”, “YeeQiWan”, “Studio”, “We” or “Our”). Our corporate portal comprises various pages available to the public (“Website”). By using our website, you agree and accept, as if you have signed a definitive agreement, the Terms & Conditions governing the use of our website.
1) Registration & Fee Payment
Registration
A registration fee of $50 is due upon enrolment, unless otherwise advertised.
Registration fees are strictly non-refundable.
Students who have served a withdrawal notice and decide to re-enroll will be subject to the registration fee.
Fees - Regular Class / Art Explorers & Enthusiasts
Fees due: Fees are due prior to the start of every term for every student enrolled in our regular program. Renewal invoices will be sent to your registered email address prior to the end of the current term.
Withdrawal: Notice to withdraw from regular class must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the end of the current term, via a withdrawal notice sent to our email. The effective date of withdrawal shall be the last day of the current term. There will be no refund for an incomplete term due to withdrawal. In the absence of any withdrawal notice received, class terms will run on a continuous basis.
Refunds: All fees received are non-refundable. In the event of injury that prevents attendance of class for an extended period (more than 1 month with verification of medical documents), the remaining class fee may be put on hold for a maximum of 6 months. For avoidance of doubt, no refunds will be provided for missed class due to periods of illness or sickness of less than 1 month. Please refer to the “Replacement Class FAQ” on how to claim for replacement classes.
Pro-ration of fees: There will be no pro-rating of fees allowed for a partial term, with the exception of the first billing cycle. Once a timeslot is booked and confirmed, fees will be charged on a full term (8 weeks, unless otherwise communicated) less public holidays.
Fees - Workshops, Art Jam & Other Ad Hoc Events
Fees due: Full payment of fees are due prior to the start of every activity. We reserve the right to request participants to leave the class if full payment is not received.
Deposit: Depending on the activity (especially large group events), we reserve the right to request for a deposit to secure the booking.
2) Cancellation & Refunds
All fees paid are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Replacement class credits are accruable only if 24 hour notice of absence is provided ahead of class, or if a valid medical certificate is provided.
Replacement classes are valid for the term and will be forfeited if not attended.
If a replacement class is booked and not attended, there will be no further replacement class arranged.
Replacement classes are not transferable for class or term fee.
3) Class Schedule & Studio Rules
Studio Rules
Drop-off only: Parents / guardians are not allowed to sit in and/or observe the class while it is in session. All classes are on a drop-off basis only, unless otherwise stated. Classes should not be disrupted while in session.
Punctuality: All students are expected to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to scheduled class start time, and should be promptly picked up no more than 5 minutes at the end of class. The studio shall not be responsible for any unsupervised children.
Food and drinks: No food and drinks (except plain bottled water) is allowed in the classroom.
Personal belongings: The studio is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items, which shall include items of clothing. Students are strongly encouraged to wear their t-shirt and apron.
Collection of Artworks
All artworks completed should be claimed and brought back within 1 month of completion. We reserve the right to dispose of such artworks if they remain unclaimed after 1 month.
Class Schedule
Class schedule for the year will be provided at time of enrolment. Term classes will not be conducted on public holidays.
We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule / teacher without prior notice. The information on this page and other notice is correct at time of printing / posting.
Change of timeslot: Requests for changes to timeslots are subject to class availability and will be considered no more than twice a calendar year to avoid disruption to class.
4) Personal Data
Collection of Personal Data
In line with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we are informing parents/guardians expressly of the need for the studio to collect, use and disseminate personal data, including photography and filming of your child/ward while he/she is attending any activities at our studio.
“Personal data” refers to data or information from which a person can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which the studio has or is likely to have access. Examples include name, photograph or video images, contact details or any other information relating to the person that has been supplied to the studio in one form or another.
These will be used for training, educational, publicity, marketing and communication purposes to enable us to carry out our business as an art studio.
Photography and Marketing
By enrolling in any of our programs (including but not limited to trial lessons, regular class, holiday programs, art jams, workshops), parents/guardians provide consent to the studio to take photographs or videos of your child/ward and/or yourself while participating in the activities for promotional or marketing purposes, which may include publication on our website or social media accounts.
If you wish to withdraw consent for photography and filming, do inform us in writing at hello@artwellplayed.com Otherwise, it is deemed that you have given consent.
5) Release of Liability
As the legal parent or guardian, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Studio, owners and directors, officers, employees and agents against any loss, liability, cost, expense (including reasonable legal fees) claim, action or demand which may arise as a result of or in connection with the use of this website or the provision of our services, while in or upon the premises, or in route to or from any of the premises.
We reserve the right to decline the provision of services.
6) Copyright
All rights reserved. No part of the material protected by this copyright may be reproduced or utilized in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, broadcasting or by any other information storage and retrieval system without written permission from us.
7) Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to change and modify these terms and conditions. Any changes will be published at our website: www.artwellplayed.com
8) Agreement to Terms and Conditions
By enrolling yourself or students in any program run by our studio, parents and guardians of students attending classes are taken to have accepted the Terms and Conditions. No signature is required.
