An Open Door

One year ago, we opened a small door.
Not because we simply wanted to create art, or because we wanted to fill walls with beautiful work.

We simply hoped to create a place where people could slow down, play a little more, notice a little more, and leave carrying something that couldn't always be seen.

Over the past year, this space has been filled with many firsts.
The first time touching pottery;
The first time drawing outdoors;
The first time watching salt crystals appear:
The first time cooking popcorn from kernels:
The first time sitting beside someone they had never met and making something together.

Again and again, we were reminded that what stays with us is rarely the finished piece. It is the conversation while painting.
The laughter after something unexpected happened.
The quiet moments of figuring things out.
The courage to try.
The patience to wait.
The joy of discovering that play isn't just for children.

This anniversary, we wanted to celebrate in the same way we began - not with something bigger, but with something meaningful.
