Join our Guest Artist and urban sketch enthusiast SH Chow as he guide us to explore how a simple grey mark can shift, soften, deepen, and open into new possibilities as he brings his favourite medium “water-soluble graphite” to life.
"一笔福，一年新" Welcome the New Year with Handwritten Blessings
As the Lunar New Year approaches, appreciate Chinese culture through the practice of calligraphy. Learn basic calligraphy techniques and be introduced to traditional tools and Clerical Script (Lishu), and practise writing basic strokes and the character “Fu” (福). Each participant will take home a completed 17 × 17 cm red cardstock artwork. A finished piece perfect for home display this Chinese New Year.
