our inspiration & philosophy

How can we learn about colour from nature? Could a mechanism from a science class be reimagined as a work of art? It is our belief and philosophy that art lessons can go beyond crafting charming plush toys — they can also inspire children to create the fantastical creatures of their imagination. Emotions themselves might find expression through balanced artistic creations, while abstract paintings come to life, flowing with the rhythm of music.

Going beyond lifeless written lesson plans with pre-planned outcomes, we hope to inspire the next generation of do-ers, believers and explorers who continue to push their boundaries, challenge the norms and live life authentically.

This process can be enriched with the enthusiastic feedback of parents and caregivers, the creative spontaneity of children, and the triumphs and setbacks inherent in learning. These elements come together to breathe life into our program, making it deeply engaging and meaningful. To truly uncover art in everyday life, we must look beyond superficial acts or objects, opening our senses to the emotions these creations evoke and the stories they tell.

beauty,
not perfection

At our studio, you will not find perfectly touched-up artworks. We believe instead in the power of process over perfection, in the beauty of imperfect hands, and in art that grows from curiousity, emotion and play.

nature-inspired

Each program consists of its own monthly theme and activities, so your child has something new to anticipate with each month.

process-oriented learning

You’ll be able to utilize or recycle supplies you already have at home to complete lesson activities. We’ll provide you with alternative options as well.

art-infused language learning

Our programs are curated for two different age groups, so every lesson offers the appropriate level of engagement for your little ones.

why hands-on?

Why is learning to do things physically important when we
have computers and AI?

Hands-on learning helps build relationship between feelings and the thinking process. When we do things hands-on, we involve all our senses and learning is no longer limited to just
a piece or paper. With emotions in play, complex concepts can be learnt and retained more easily.

Every experience becomes a moving force. When experiences arouse curiosity, learners take the lead in their
own learning journey, in turn creating the loop for lifelong learning.

why play?

In today’s fast-paced digital world, our minds are easily overwhelmed by a flood of virtual stimuli. This constant
barrage can lead to heightened anxiety and an overstimulated, restless state of being.

Our programs are designed around a concept that’s often overlooked: the essence of “play”. Play, at its core, is a process of free exploration and practice, without the pressure of predetermined outcomes. By removing academic constraints and allowing a rediscovery of the concept of learning through
a curious mind, the pursuit of art then becomes free play for creativity to flourish naturally.

why art?

Art is powerful tool for self-expression. In the creative process, one is allowed to articulate their deepest emotions and thoughts, fostering self-awareness and promoting healthy conversations among oneself and with others.

As a barrier-free language, art allows us to learn more about the world around us, others and ourselves - creating a necessary bridge between the community and oneself.

As we widen our exposure, we open our minds to aesthetic education and start to experience the feeling and enjoyment of beautiful things. We appreciate the smaller joys in life and when we are more appreciative, we gain happiness.
